OUTINON || no. Nine

Amber is a tad busy this week after coming home from her adventures in Canada’s East Coast. Do you blame her, how awesome did her trip look! Anyway, you are going deal with just me for this weeks OUTINON.

What’s OUT

I bet you can guess what my OUT and IN are about this week… yup, renovation and interior design. Since purchasing our new house, I am entirely obsessed with scheming new ideas for the house. So my OUT is a couple images of our house and what’s going to go!

First, a little background info; the house is built in 1986, so it is nearly 30 years old and is fully decked out in oak. Also, these pictures are reflective of mid move, so don’t mind the mess, it will look much different soon enough.

Wish me luck… there is a lot of work to do! Stay tuned for the “Before & After” future posts.

What’s IN

One of my favorite parts about moving is organizing. With packing and unpacking, organizing and purging can be one of the most satisfying tasks; however, it can also be one of the most time consuming tasks, but with the reward of making things easier in the end. So yes, my IN is organizing, and these are my favorite tools to do so.

What’s going ON

Considering it is the long weekend, there are SO many goodies going on! But my personal favorite being Heritage Festival! This is the 40th anniversary for this festival in Edmonton, and it is only getting bigger and bigger every year.

Heritage fest

For those of you who’ve never been and/or don’t know what it is, it is essentially a cultural food festival where country representatives make specialty dishes from that country and then they serve it to our hungry mouths. Could a festival be any better than that??

I have to mention one other thing going ON in Edmonton, and that is the CFL football game between Edmonton Eskimos and my beloved Saskatchewan Roughriders. For those of you who don’t know, I am a HUGE Riders fan; and for those of you who follow CFL, you would know that the Riders are 0-5 for the season so far, so tonight’s game is crucial… with or without any starting quarterbacks.

So if you know whats good for you, you will cheer for the riders!
